I have had different cats throughout the years. Cleaning the litter box has always been a difficult task for me to complete. Several years ago, my friend introduced me to the Litter Robot. The Litter Robot is an automatic litter box. The Litter Robot separates the used litter from the clean litter by dumping it into a drawer underneath.  

I was told that it might be too loud, and the cat may not like all the moving parts. For those reasons, I put off buying it. Cleaning the litter box just kept getting harder on my back.

Finally, I got the Litter Robot. I was so glad I did. There are two different models, the Litter Robot 3 and the Litter Robot 4. I have the Litter Robot 4. I did keep the old litter box just in case Tabitha (my cat) did not like the automatic litter box. Turns out, I had no need to worry. Tabitha took to the Litter Robot right away.

I love this box because it does most of the work for me. Some of the great things about this specific automatic litter box are that it has odor control, it is very quiet, and it can be used by multiple cats.

The downside is that the Litter Robot 4 is expensive. They do have a monthly payment plan with Affirm. Affirm is a platform that will allow flexible monthly payments with no fees or interest.

The Litter Robot came fully assembled. All you need is to plug it in. It comes with an app so I can run it from my phone. The drawer underneath uses a kitchen sized garbage bag. Then the used litter falls into the bag and you just remove it when the time comes. When all that is done, I’m all good to go!

I love how customizable everything is on the app. I can set how many minutes it waits to cycle after Tabitha uses the box. If I do not want it to cycle for a certain amount of time at night, I can set that. The app also tells me when I need to empty the drawer. The Litter Robot website says to empty and replace the bag every 10 to 12 days depending on how often the cat uses it. The Litter robot can also weigh the cat and it gets recorded on the app.
