Jen, who often has cold feet - especially in winter! - enjoys relaxing in these heated slippers while sitting in her lounger. Jen cannot heat or put these on independently, so a caregiver puts them in the microwave for the recommended time, checks to make sure they aren't too hot, and then slips them onto her feet. They smell great when heated, since they are lavender scented. Jen is a wheelchair user, so she has never walked around in these slippers. They do seem kind of bulky for walking.
Caution: They might not always seem warm enough right when you remove them from the microwave, but don't be fooled -- they can continue getting hotter even after being removed! And extending the time can make them too hot very quickly. In general, and especially if you are heating them for someone else, be careful not to overheat them and always test them well before putting them on.
