Product Review by Lisa: (meet our team)

  • How long I've been using this product: A few weeks

  • How often I use this product: Multiple times a day

  • My gut feeling: I totally recommend it!

  • Why did you choose this product? What are its pros? I thought it would help getting hot dishes/containers out of the microwave - it does! You have to have enough hand & arm strength to lift (almost slide) the item out of the microwave. It's got great little nubs on the bottom of the mat for more ease holding on to it as opposed to being smooth like the top. There are two of them! The big one "lives" in my microwave. The smaller one "lives" on top of my my microwave. No extra storage space needed and I can put other items on top of the microwave and and they will not slip off. Both sides of the mats are rubber/ silicone and nothing slips on them. Either one could also be used as a placemat or trivet/hot plate. Easy to wash and carry to the sink.

  • Cons: Can't think of any except the sloped ridge at the edge all around the edge might be better if it went up at a 90° angle if some Iiquid was spilled, the mat would need to be gently pulled out of the microwave onto a cookie sheet or cutting board at the same level as the mat. It still might be difficult to get it to the sink.

  • Will you keep using this product? Yes

  • Might be relevant for individuals with: decreased coordination, balance, grip, hand or arm strength
