This product might be particularly helpful for individuals who are blind or low vision, as it helps indicate when the liquid has reached a “full” level in a glass.

How long I’ve been using this product: A few weeks
How often I use this product: Once a week
My gut feeling: I really love using this product! It is a hard, durable, plastic product with holes on the left. It has hooks on the bottom, which grip the edge of the cup. When the liquid gets to the top, the cup vibrates, letting you know that it is full. This is convenient for people who are blind, because you don’t have to worry about sticking your finger in the cup to let you know that the liquid has reached the top. This might also help prevent people with fine motor or coordination problems from pouring too much, and spilling. And let’s not forget… the liquid level indicator is useful for deaf people. That’s probably one of the big reasons why MaxiAids, the maker of this product, included the vibrations. A deaf person can touch the cup, and “feel” if it is too full, by placing their hand against the vibrating surface!
Why this product? This product helps me. I don’t have to always stick my finger into the cup to let me know that I’ve poured too much. I can just hook the liquid level indicator onto the edge, feel the glass vibrating underneath my hands, and know that there is enough liquid! And that I don’t need to pour any more! I can’t think of any other product that does the same thing.
Pros: The liquid level indicator doesn’t get damaged, regardless of how much liquid you get on it, or what kind of liquid. It doesn’t break, and lasts for a long time. It vibrates, letting you know that you’ve poured just the right amount of liquid into the cup. This is good for those who are deaf or blind. When the liquid gets to the top, you don’t have to worry about spilling!
Cons: If you have some drops of water on your fingers, the metal wires on the liquid level indicator will vibrate, even if the device is outside of the cup.
What I would like to change: The price! It is really expensive! Really expensive for a small piece of plastic that is smaller than a cell phone! And the way it vibrates outside of the cup, if your hands have water on them! I would change that too.
This product might be relevant for: Blind or low vision and deaf individuals; individuals with decreased fine motor skills
review update
I no longer use the liquid level indicator because it is unnecessary. This is due to the fact that I use my finger to gauge how much liquid has reached the top of the cup. For example, if I am pouring a glass of water, I hook my finger around the edge of the cup. Then, I wait until the water reaches my finger before I stop pouring.
However, I do enjoy the liquid level indicator because it vibrates to show that your cup is full, and that you no longer need to pour your drink.
