How long I’ve been using this product: A few weeks
How often I use this product: Once a week
My gut feeling: Highly recommend for light cleanup of porches, decks, patios, garages
Why did you choose this product? Since I maintain container gardens on both a deck outside my kitchen and outside at my front door and the area around my house is surrounded by pine and oak trees, I need a lightweight blower, which will easily blow away leaves, pine needles, debris and dirt. Unlike conventional electric or cordless leaf blowers, the weight of the ZoomBroom is well balanced, with the heaviest part at the bottom of the blower rather than at the top near the handle. It is also longer, more narrow and easier to store than a conventional cordless electric blower.
What are its pros?
- Lightweight [2 lbs.]: easy to carry, move around areas for blowing
- Narrow & long: blower can be positioned in tight spaces
- Balanced weight: easy to hold and re-position for blowing
- Onboard recharging (no need to remove a battery)
- Quick recharging
- Easy to store: can be wall-mounted, but also narrow/small
- Ergonomic handle
- Sufficient blowing power
- “Turbo” boost
- Adequate running time to clean large area
- ZoomBroom and charger have a 2 year warranty
What are its cons?
- Some users may prefer higher level of blowing
- Higher price
Other notes:
The ZoomBroom website says that the device has a run time of 30 minutes in standard mode and 13 minutes in “turbo” mode.
review update
I still use and like this; I’ve found lots of uses both inside and outside of the house.
notes, hacks and tips
The product is relatively expensive (nearly $200), but Karen does find that its lightweight (2 lbs.) and easy-to-use design make it uniquely accessible compared to other “leaf blower” models. As always, we share insights that we hope will help you decide if a product is right for you! In this second video, Karen compares the ZoomBroom (F2) to her own, more traditional, leaf blower.
