Can I just tell you that I have wanted a mandoline since my childhood days of watching infomercials? Well yearn no more because now I have adult money and now I have one. This tool is AWESOME. I was not disappointed at all, and now I find myself coming up with reasons to slice things. I have convinced myself I LOVE TOMATOES. Maybe it’s just because I love this mandoline. I don’t know. But I’m a happy girl.
The mandoline is pretty easy to use. It’s two pieces – the mandoline itself has a handy protection tool for your fingers. I HAD SO MUCH FUN USING IT. It was very easy to attach the vegetable to the hand protector, adjust the dial to the slice width I needed and swipe it up and down to get my desired slices.
review update
I do not use it as often as I hoped. It’s tricky to use with the thickness setting. My aide cut his hand using it the other day. It’s a good product, just be careful with the blade and test a small piece of veggie.
I don’t use this anymore. I found it frustrating to use and tomatoes didn’t work well on this.
